Created Funlab’s Level-Up campaign branding — a pixel art video and logo series celebrating team promotions, new hires, and upskilling. Designed for internal use and social sharing, the assets embodied a sense of achievement and playfulness, aligning with Funlab’s vibrant tone of voice and brand colours.
concept #1
Leaning into classic arcade energy, I used Illustrator’s mosaic and grid tools to build a responsive layout with animation in mind. Elements from multiple drafts came together — stacked title, animated smile motif — while the arcade cabinet layout was shelved for future use.
concept #2
Inspired by early 2000s Flash games and nostalgic UI design, this concept explored dynamic interface-style motion. Upward-scrolling arrows and a bobbing title gave it movement, but it pushed too far outside the brief and was parked in favour of Concept 1.
refinement
After Illustrator assets didn’t hold up in motion, I rebuilt the final concept directly in After Effects for sharper pixel clarity and smoother animation. Delivered five flexible variations, each with a unique “level-up” flavour and adaptable layout.
final concept
Funlab’s People team selected the arcade-inspired concept, praising its fun, celebratory tone. It was a rewarding opportunity to merge branding and motion through pixel art — playful, punchy, and purpose-driven.
